Burrito chain Chipotle Mexican Grill plans to hire 15,000 new full- and part-time workers for its restaurants across North America.
The new recruiting campaign supports Chipotle’s aim to ensure that its North American restaurants are fully staffed for its busiest time of the year, the burrito season, from March to May.
Chipotle Mexican Grill chief restaurant officer Scott Boatwright said: “Our restaurant teams are the core of this organisation, and with a goal of more than doubling our footprint to 7,000 locations in North America, we are targeting employees today to serve as our leaders of tomorrow.
“We will continue bringing in new crew to support Chipotle’s aggressive growth plans, while simultaneously promoting and upskilling those currently in role.”
The California-based chain’s new campaign spotlights the career advancements of six of its current employees as well as the company’s internal promotion processes.
The company announced approximately 22,000 internal promotions last year and has filled more than 90% of its restaurant management roles from internal promotions.
