Fast casual restaurant chain Chipotle Mexican Grill has announced the relaunch of its marinated and grilled beef offering, ‘Carne Asada’, in the US and Canada.
Carne Asada has been reintroduced for a limited period.
This is the third time Chipotle Mexican Grill has added Carne Asada to its menu.
The offering was originally launched in September 2019. It was also reintroduced to the menu in 2020.
According to Chipotle Mexican Grill, Carne Asada was ordered by more than ten million customers when it was initially launched.
Apart from relaunching Carne Asada, the company also provides the option to try Carne Asada Quesadilla for the first time.

Chipotle Mexican Grill chief brand officer Chris Brandt said: “Over the past few years, our fans’ passion for Carne Asada has rivalled any other Chipotle menu item.
“Now, we have answered the call, brought back this iconic protein and introduced an entirely new way to try Carne Asada with the Carne Asada Quesadilla.”
Carne Asada is a marinated and grilled beef offering, which comes with a mix of Chipotle’s signature spices, including cumin, coriander, oregano, freshly squeezed lime and chopped cilantro.
Chipotle said this protein offering is also approved for the Whole30 programme and can be used for Keto and Paleo diets.
To mark the relaunch of Carne Asada, Chipotle Mexican Grill is running a $0 delivery fee offer on all Carne Asada product orders.
From 14 September until 1 October, customers can place their orders through Chipotle’s mobile app or through its website.
