Fast-casual lobster roll brand Cousins Maine Lobster (CML) is set to launch a new food truck in Albany, expanding its footprint in the US state of New York.
The Albany truck is the 23rd CML truck run by franchisees Yunus and Thameem Shahul and will serve local seafood enthusiasts with a variety of Maine lobster-based dishes.
The CML Albany truck will make its debut on 22 March at KBC Beer, located in Mayfield.
Yunus Shahul stated: “We’re excited to announce that Cousins Maine Lobster will now serve the Albany community of lobster lovers. The passion that we have for this brand is shared by our customers, and as we continue to grow with Cousins Maine Lobster, this expansion is a natural next step in the region.
“We can’t wait to serve our signature Maine lobster to our new neighbours, provide new job opportunities and build lasting connections in this vibrant community.”
The menu will feature Maine lobster rolls, lobster tacos and lobster quesadillas.
The brand is also introducing a new Garlic Butter Lobster Roll, offering a twist on their classic roll with warm Maine lobster topped with house-made garlic butter on a toasted New England-style bun.
CML is strategically targeting markets with a demand for high-quality, fast-casual seafood.
The brand has identified several locations for potential expansion: Seattle, Tacoma, Vancouver and Spokane in Washington, Phoenix and Tucson in Arizona, St. Louis in Missouri, Cedar Rapids in Iowa and Indianapolis in Indiana.
CML head of development Angela Coppler added: “Yunus and Thameem are exemplary operators who have demonstrated incredible leadership and dedication to growing the Cousins Maine Lobster brand.
“Their passion for delivering an authentic Maine lobster experience has allowed them to expand across multiple regions, and we have no doubt their newest truck in Albany will have the same energy and commitment. We’re proud to support their continued growth and introduce our brand to even more communities.”
CML recently launched a new food truck in Upstate New York.
