US-based fast food chain Dairy Queen (DQ) has announced the launch of a Summer Blizzard Treat menu featuring new flavours, returning favourites and a limited-time 85-cent small Blizzard Treat deal.

The menu marks 85 years of American Dairy Queen (ADQ).

ADQ executive vice-president of marketing Maria Hokanson stated: “For 85 years, we have been serving up smiles, sweet traditions and the most iconic frozen treats around. We figured – what better way to celebrate this milestone than by giving our fans […] an 85 cent Blizzard?

“And because no birthday is complete without cake and sprinkles, we’re bringing back the Confetti Cake Blizzard Treat for a limited time.”

From 31 March 2025, DQ locations will offer the Summer Blizzard Treat menu, featuring returning items such as the Confetti Cake Blizzard Treat and Cotton Candy Blizzard Treat, the fan-vote winner S’mores Blizzard Treat and two new items.

The new Mixing Bowl Mashup Blizzard Treat will combine brownie batter and chocolate chip cookie dough with DQ’s soft serve.

The new Dipped Strawberry Cheesecake Blizzard Treat will combine cheesecake pieces, chocolate chunks, strawberry topping and soft serve.

The S’mores Blizzard Treat will return with marshmallow-filled chocolate bars and graham cracker crunch for a campfire-inspired treat.

The Confetti Cake Blizzard Treat will feature cake pieces, confetti sprinkles and sweet vanilla soft serve, and the Cotton Candy Blizzard Treat will combine cotton candy topping with cotton candy sprinkles

Dairy Queen is also offering an 85 cent small Blizzard Treat for DQ rewards members through the DQ app.

This limited-time deal is available with a purchase of $1 or more from 24 March to 6 April in local DQ stores.

In March 2025, International Dairy Queen (IDQ), the parent of ADQ and Dairy Queen Canada, appointed Art D’Elia as chief operating officer (COO) for US and Canada operations.

Via its subsidiaries, IDQ licenses and services more than 7,700 DQ restaurants in 20 countries. IDQ is a subsidiary of Berkshire Hathaway.
