American fast-food franchise Dave’s Hot Chicken has opened its first restaurant in the state of Georgia, in the Atlanta suburb of Conyers.

Known for Nashville-style hot chicken, Dave’s Hot Chicken was founded in 2017 in an East Hollywood parking lot pop-up.

The brand has now brought its unique offering to the Southeastern US under the co-ownership of entertainment icon Usher.

The opening of the restaurant, situated at 1447 Hwy 138 SE, was marked with a drone show by SkyElements showcasing the company’s journey.

Dave’s Hot Chicken is known for its Hot Chicken Sliders and Tenders, complemented by sides such as house-made Kale Slaw, creamy Mac & Cheese and seasoned French Fries.

The menu offers seven spice levels, ranging from No Spice to the fiery Reaper, which requires a waiver due to its intensity.

Each piece of hand-breaded chicken is seasoned to the customer’s preference with a specially crafted spice blend.

The brand recently introduced Dave’s Bites, the first new chicken menu item since the brand’s early days.

Priced at $6.99 for a ten-piece serving or $9.99 with fries, these bites are available in three spice levels.

Usher is co-owner of the new Georgia location alongside his franchise partners Lawrence Kourie and Andrew Feghali.

Commenting on the development, Dave’s Hot Chicken CEO Bill Phelps said: “Dave’s Hot Chicken continues to gain traction from coast-to-coast, from our passionate guests to international superstars.

“Our focus remains on making the most craveable, hottest and juiciest hot chicken on the planet, and we’re thrilled to partner with USHER to bring Dave’s to Georgia.”

The latest development comes after the brand joined forces with QSR Automations to deploy ConnectSmart Kitchen technology across its expanding portfolio

In July 2024, Dave’s Hot Chicken announced plans to open 60 locations in the UK and Ireland with the signing of an agreement with Azzurri Group.

The initial location is expected to be open in London by the first quarter of 2025.
