Del Monte Foods has named Brian Pitzele as vice-president of its foodservice division, effective immediately.
Pitzele has been tasked with the management of the North American food production and distribution company’s foodservice business and will report to the company’s chief executive officer Greg Longstreet.
Longstreet said: “Brian’s deep knowledge and experience within the foodservice industry will bring a fresh perspective to Del Monte as we continue to focus on this important part of our business. We welcome Brian and know he will be a great asset to our company.”
Before joining Del Monte, Pitzele served as the foodservice director of Farmer John Foods, a US-based arm of Smithfield Foods.
Pitzele also worked with Hormel Foods for more than 30 years in different positions across marketing, management and sales departments overseeing its foodservice business.
