American quick-service restaurant chain Del Taco has expanded its presence in Florida with the opening of a new restaurant at 2410 Apalachee Parkway in the city of Tallahassee.

The launch is the brand’s tenth establishment in the state and the third under the franchise organisation Consolidated Taco Holdings.

The new location features Del Taco’s Fresh Flex design, presenting a modernised layout.

The Tallahassee restaurant offers contactless delivery pickup stations and a drive-through lane, and operates from 10am to midnight seven days a week.

Del Taco is known for its use of freshly grilled meats, house-grated cheddar cheese and house-made guacamole.

The menu at the new location includes Crinkle-Cut Fries, tacos, Epic Burritos and quesadillas, along with beverages and desserts.

Consolidated Taco Holdings spokesperson said: “May has been an exciting month as we opened two new Del Taco locations in the region, a location in DeFuniak Springs and now here in Tallahassee.

“As the first Del Taco in the Tallahassee market, we’re excited to have the local community experience Del’s Mexican American menu filled with quality food that’s freshly chopped, grilled and shredded in the kitchen every day.”

For a limited period, the restaurant is reintroducing its beef birria [a rich stew] menu, featuring birria-style shredded beef in tacos, along with quesadillas, ramen and the new Grilled Combo Burrito, which is accompanied by consommé.

The expansion in Tallahassee follows Del Taco’s opening of an outlet in Port Orange, Florida.

The Port Orange location is the brand’s first venture in the city and the second establishment owned by the Singh Group.
