Dickey’s Barbecue Restaurants has announced the launch of a two-storey restaurant, Dickey’s Barbecue Pit, in Manila, the capital city of the Philippines.
The establishment is situated in the Parqal Mall and seats 90 patrons with a full bar and table service.
It combines the authentic Texas barbecue experience with Filipino flavours.
Dickey’s Barbecue Restaurants CEO Laura Rea Dickey stated: “We’re thrilled to bring legit Texas barbecue to the Philippines, a country known for its bold flavours and warm hospitality. This is more than barbecue – it’s about sharing Texas culture and creating a gathering place for families and friends.”
The Manila branch features Dickey’s signature slow-smoked brisket, ribs and sausage while catering to local preferences with pork dishes, rice and regional appetisers.
Dickey’s Barbecue Pit international sales and support executive vice-president Jim Perkins stated: “Filipinos expect the full Texas barbecue experience, and we’ve worked with focus groups to ensure our menu delivers.”
Dickey’s expansion into Southeast Asia follows openings in Japan, Singapore and Pakistan. More locations are planned for Metro Manila.
Rea Dickey added: “Barbecue is about bringing people together. We’re proud to share a true taste of Texas with the world – and Manila is just the start of something even bigger.”
Dickey’s Barbecue Restaurants, established in 1941 by the Dickey family, has 866 outlets across eight different concepts in the US and other countries, operating under the Dickey’s Barbecue franchise and Dickey’s Restaurant Brands.
