Family-owned pizza franchise Donatos Pizza has unveiled its new Bakery Crust Pizza, a product designed to cater to budget-conscious consumers.
The launch comes as families are seeking more affordable dining options due to rising inflation.
The Bakery Crust Pizza offers a square, thicker crust, smoked provolone cheese and a selection of fresh toppings.
It can be cut into nine squares and is available with up to three toppings.
The square-cut pizza is positioned as an ideal choice for families and groups.
Donatos is offering an introductory deal in which customers can purchase two one-topping Bakery Crust Pizzas for $19.99, or a single pizza for $11.99.
From 19 August 2024, the Bakery Crust Pizza is available across all Donatos outlets.
Donatos Pizza chief marketing officer Jodie Conrad said: “We understand the importance of offering meals that are not only delicious but also affordable, especially during challenging economic times.
“Our new Bakery Crust Pizza is a perfect option for families who want to enjoy a hearty, quality meal without overspending.”
Established in 1963 by Jim Grote in Columbus in the US state of Ohio, Donatos Pizza is known for its signature thin-crust pizzas with generous toppings.
More than 175 stores are operated by Donatos and its franchise partners.
Donatos Pizza is also offered in 300 non-traditional sites across the US, including some Red Robin restaurants.
In July 2024, Donatos Pizza expanded its menu offering with the Calzato – an offering with a crispy exterior made using thin dough and a melted interior with up to three customisable toppings.
