Global franchising company FAT Brands has announced a deal with Red Rombo Group to develop 50 co-branded Fatburger and Buffalo’s Express locations in Mexico.

The Fatburger and Buffalo’s Express co-branded concept is set to make its debut with three locations in Mexico City.

The first of these is expected to open later this year.

The Fatburger menu includes Fat and Skinny fries, sweet potato fries, scratch-made onion rings, IMPOSSIBLE burgers, chicken sandwiches and hand-scooped milkshakes.

Chicken wings with sauces such as Scorchin, Carolina Fire BBQ, Asian Sesame, Coconut Jerk, Honey Garlic and Sweet Bourbon BBQ are included in the Buffalo’s Express menu.

FAT Brands CEO Andy Wiederhorn said: “We’re excited to bring the popularity of Fatburger and Buffalo’s Express to Mexico, where the fast-casual market is growing steadily year after year.

“The Fatburger and Buffalo’s Express model has been well received on an international level with recent growth in Singapore and France. We are always looking to continue to expand our footprint throughout the world and are eager to bring our burgers and wings to Mexico and other countries.”

With the expansion into Mexico, FAT Brands has now introduced its Fatburger and Buffalo’s Express co-branded model across 14 international locations.

Red Rombo Group CEO Jaime Parra said: “Here at Red Rombo Group, we are excited to bring the world’s most iconic burgers and wings to Mexico.”

Parra will be the master franchisee for Fatburger and Buffalo’s Express Mexico.

Currently more than 70% of Fatburger locations are now co-branded with Buffalo’s Express.

In December last year, FAT Brands expanded its presence in Singapore with the launch of a new co-branded Fatburger and Buffalo’s Express restaurant.
