Indian based quick service restaurant (QSR) chain Fat Tiger has unveiled a three-year expansion plan to establish 500 new offline outlets across 200 cities.
The chain seeks to utilise a combination of company-owned and franchise-operated stores.
Fat Tiger founders and directors Sahaj Chopra and Sahil Arya stated: “We are focused on growing Fat Tiger’s presence across 200 cities, making our offerings accessible to more customers while generating employment opportunities at scale.”
Currently operating in 80 cities, Fat Tiger’s expansion will involve the lease of 500 outlets, each approximately 300ft² to 500ft² – cumulatively amounting to more than 150,000ft² of premium retail space.
The company’s expansion will generate more than 1,750 job opportunities across various organisational roles.
The QSR chain’s menu is known for a variety of momo [steamed filled dumplings], burgers and beverages.
Fat Tiger has recently introduced BBQ Momo and Kimchi Momo, expanding its culinary repertoire.
The brand also offers Boba drinks with its popular meal options.
Sahaj Chopra and Sahil Arya have positioned the brand at the intersection of traditional and modern flavours, catering to the diverse palate of Indian consumers.
A new Fat Tiger branch has recently been launched in Kolkata, the capital of the state of West Bengal.
Arya said: “We are excited to bring Fat Tiger to the vibrant city of Kolkata.
“With our exceptional quality of food, warm hospitality and inviting ambience, we aim to become a go-to destination for locals and visitors seeking an unforgettable dining experience.”
