Brazil-based steakhouse Fogo de Chão is set to open its eighth location in the Los Angeles Metro area, California, US, later this year.

The restaurant company signed a lease agreement to open its restaurant in Brea Mall.

The move is part of Fogo de Chão’s plan to achieve a 15% annual restaurant growth across the US.

Fogo de Chão CEO Barry McGowan said: “We are thrilled to continue to bring our passion for providing Brazilian hospitality and unforgettable dining experiences to Orange County.

“We look forward to welcoming the Brea community to our newest restaurant, showcasing our latest brand innovations and culinary discoveries for new and existing guests alike.”

The Brea restaurant will be an addition to the company’s existing outlets in Downtown LA, Beverly Hills, Irvine, El Segundo, Pasadena, Woodland Hills and Huntington Beach, which is set to open in mid-2023.

The new location will offer guests weekday lunch, Brazilian weekend brunch, bar fogo, group and private dining, to-go and butcher shop options.

At the beginning of this year, Fogo de Chão signed 12 new domestic and international leases to open its restaurants in key US markets, including Lynnwood, Washington; National Harbor, Maryland; Woodland Hills, California and Paramus, New Jersey.

The brand also unveiled its plans to enter Turkey and Ecuador as part of its global expansion plan.

Earlier this month, Fogo de Chão announced its plans to open its first location in Providence Place Mall, Rhode Island, in the third quarter of 2023.
