The Food & Drink Expo is returning to the NEC in Birmingham from 16 to 18 April, showcasing the food and drink industry’s new brands with produce from 25 countries and nine regional pavilions.
The exhibition will feature a speaker programme covering food waste, brand building and pressing topical issues like the rise in consumers looking to follow a more plant-based diet.
The expo will run alongside four complimentary shows—Foodex, Farm Shop & Deli Show, National Convenience Show and The Ingredients Show.
MCA executive director Simon Stenning and HIM content and innovation director Blake Gladman will offer expert views on foodservice consumers and retail shoppers affected by the same trends. MCA is a business that provides insight into the UK eating out and drinking market, and HIM is a services and solutions company.
Business transformation expert Kate Hardcastle will share her guide to what the future holds across foodservice and how connecting with customers can help companies stay on top of the competition. Hardcastle has spoken across the world, including the US, UAE, Australia, New Zealand, Europe, China and India.
Consumer behaviour and growth opportunities for suppliers to foodservice will also be discussed and nearly 1,500 suppliers will showcase their latest innovations across the five co-located events.

By GlobalDataFood & Drink Expo sales director Dan Dixon said: “The show only takes place every two years but provides a unique, first-hand opportunity to see some of the most exciting and of-the-moment products on the market.
“The event also affords buyers and representatives from foodservice and grocery industries the chance to meet the people behind these businesses. In an ever more digitalised world, this is often an invaluable opportunity to understand product USPs, as well as offering the opportunity to build one-to-one relationships with key people.”
Alongside the exhibition, Food & Drink Expo will provide live seminars sharing the latest food and drink trends hosted by the industries top movers.
