US-based fast-casual restaurant concept Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers has announced its second development agreement in Canada for five new restaurants in Alberta.
The agreement has been signed with Dan Arndt of ZZA Hospitality and will see the openings up to 2028.
The deal comes soon after Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers signed its first master franchise and development agreement in the country in November 2024.
The agreement in November was signed with North 49 Frozen Custard and Steakburgers’ franchise owners Jim Wershler and Gregg Most.
Gregg Most said: “Bringing an iconic brand like Freddy’s into Canadian territories has been an exhilarating journey, and we feel thrilled to be closer to debuting our first franchise location in Alberta.
“It’s a pleasure to work with ZZA Hospitality as we realise our goal of expanding Freddy’s Canadian footprint.”
