American fast-casual restaurant chain Freebirds World Burrito has announced the introduction of its new Queso Grande Prime Rib build, alongside the re-launch of its seasoned Prime Rib.

The Queso Grande Prime Rib build will be available from 17 July 2024.

The Prime Rib is seasoned with a blend of black pepper, garlic and onion.

The new offering from Freebirds is available in two forms: as a burrito and as a bowl.

It combines Spanish rice, pinto beans, seasoned Prime Rib, peppers, onions, queso, shredded cheese and pickled jalapeños in a savoury/spicy combination.

Freebirds World Burrito CEO Alex Eagle said: “At Freebirds, we are constantly inspired by our guests’ love for bold Texas flavours and innovative combinations.

“Our Queso Grande is our delicious new combination that will elevate your Freebirds experience this summer.”

In March 2023, Freebirds World Burrito re-introduced its Texas Smoked Brisket for a limited time at all 65 Texas locations.

The brisket is known for its authentic preparation and premium ingredients.

It is dry-rubbed with a blend of salt, pepper, garlic and paprika, then slow-cooked for 16 hours to achieve a tender texture. The smoking process utilises a mix of white oak, hickory and pecan wood.

Freebirds offers layers of Spanish rice and pinto beans as the base for their burritos or bowls, then adds cheese, corn salsa, jalapeños, hot tomatillo and BBQ sauce.
