The Gordon Ramsay Restaurant Group plans to occupy the former Le Gavroche location in London’s Mayfair, which had been run by the Roux family and shut down on 13 January 2024 after 56 years of trading, for its latest venture.
Michel Roux Jr, who led the kitchen, told the Standard that he sought a better work-life balance and ended his tenure at the establishment.

The Standard reports that Union Street Café, a casual unit of the Gordon Ramsay Restaurant Group, has submitted a premises licence transfer application to Westminster Council.
Union Street Café began life as a standalone Ramsay restaurant in 2013 in Southwark, then rebranded with a different Gordon Ramsay concept during the Covid-19 pandemic, as reported by the Caterer.
Gordon Ramsay Restaurant Group operates several dining concepts: Gordon Ramsay Street Pizza, Bread Street Kitchen, Gordon Ramsay Street Burger and the Asian-inspired Lucky Cat.
Ramsay’s connection to Le Gavroche dates to his early years as a chef when he worked under Michel Roux’s father, Albert.
