American fast-casual restaurant brand Hawaiian Bros has announced an expansion into the Rio Grande Valley, Texas, with a multi-unit development agreement.

The deal, signed with franchisee William Marin, will see the addition of eight new restaurants across key markets.

Marin, an experienced franchisee with more than two decades of industry experience, will lead Hawaiian Bros’ expansion across the markets of Corpus Christi, McAllen, Laredo, Brownsville and Harlingen.

Marin’s portfolio includes Quiznos and Subway in South Texas, and multiple Popeyes in Corpus Christi.

Hawaiian Bros’ expansion strategy is focused on franchise growth, particularly through partnerships with seasoned multi-unit operators.

Hawaiian Bros franchise development vice-president Grant Kreutzer said: “Their multi-unit restaurant operations and development experience, combined with their local market knowledge, will bring the Aloha spirit and spread positivity to South Texas.”
