HF Foods has announced Felix Lin as its new interim CEO, taking over from Peter Zhang.  

Lin, who retains his roles as president and chief operating officer, has been instrumental in the company’s strategic transformations since 2019. 

His background includes significant contributions to HF Foods’ management team and the board of directors.  

Lin’s expertise spans operational management and financial strategy, which have been crucial in executing the company’s transformation plan.  

Before joining HF Foods, Lin held a vice-presidential position at the Blue Bird Corporation, where he managed departments including human resources and corporate training. 

During his tenure at Blue Bird, he played a key role in business development efforts in China and the Middle East.

From November 2019 to April 2022, he also served as HF Foods’ independent board member, chairing both its audit committee and the special investigation committee. 

HF Foods lead independent director Charlotte Westfall stated: “Felix has been instrumental in shaping HF Foods’ strategic direction and operational execution as a core member of our executive team. He has been a key decision-maker here at HF Foods, having already guided many of our most significant initiatives.  

“Felix’s depth and breadth of experience, combined with his intimate knowledge of the business, will help lead the company as interim CEO during this critical time.” 

The leadership change at HF Foods comes with no disagreements regarding financial reporting or company practices, as confirmed by both parties. Zhang will continue to serve on the board of directors, ensuring continuity in the company’s governance.

HF Foods is engaged in the marketing and distribution of frozen and dry food, fresh produce, and non-food products to restaurants in Asia and other US foodservice customers.
