Global hospitality firm sbe’s Disruptive Restaurant has opened its new pan-Mediterranean restaurant, Cleo, inside The Orlando Hotel on West Third Street, Los Angeles (LA), California.
The new 170-seat Mediterranean culinary concept Cleo restaurant is the third location in LA and the seventh worldwide. The brand recently opened its first location in New York and first international outpost in the Bahamas.
The restaurant’s interiors were designed by Dakota Development, DesignAgency and LA street artist Cryptik.
Disruptive Restaurant Group CEO Daniel del Olmo said: “Building on the incredible reception we’ve seen with Cleo Hollywood and Cleo L.A. Live, we are thrilled to open our third location in L.A. and bring our award-winning concept to West Hollywood.”
The Cleo Third Street restaurant offers a new menu created by executive chef Danny Elmaleh and reflects his Israeli-Japanese heritage along with eastern and southern Mediterranean ingredients and cultures.
Elmaleh said: “The new dishes on the menu, from our duck matzo ball soup to our meatball tagine with soft egg, tomato, squash and piquillo peppers, are directly inspired by my life, my heritage and the rich flavours of the Mediterranean and the Middle East.”
The menu highlights also include Cleo’s signature cocktails, Brussels sprouts, spicy cigars, and other shared plate favourites from babaganoush and crispy artichoke and many more.
The restaurant is also open for dinner, weekend lunch and also takeaways.
The Cleo brand will continue its international expansion with the opening of a new outlet in Kuwait in early 2018, with six more locations to open globally by 2021.
Founded in 2002 by CEO Sam Nazarian, sbe operates hotels, residences, restaurants and nightclubs as well as over 136 outlets globally.
