Restaurant technology solutions provider HungerRush has integrated Uber Direct into its HungerRush Delivery Services to offer restaurants better flexibility and cost savings.

The move helps restaurants manage their deliveries through multiple driver options, all accessible within their point-of-sale (POS) system.

HungerRush Delivery Services enables restaurants to manage all their delivery operations, whether they choose to utilise Uber Direct’s network, in-house drivers or a combination of both.

The service is designed to work seamlessly with the HungerRush POS, allowing for real-time order handling, delivery tracking and cost management.

Uber Direct general manager Kiran Vinta stated: “Uber Direct offers a reliable, flexible solution that helps restaurants scale their delivery operations as demand grows. By providing restaurants the ability to choose the right service at the right time, they can maximise sales and meet the growing consumer expectation for delivery offerings.

“With no ongoing subscription fee or commission, and flat-rate delivery charges, restaurants only pay for the delivery services used. Restaurants can also choose to pass costs on to guests, ensuring that costs remain manageable.”

The integrated system centralises order management, tracking and logistics, simplifying operations and reducing the need for multiple apps or processes.

HungerRush chief product officer Eran Hollander added: “Delivery isn’t a one-size-fits-all solution – every restaurant has unique needs and preferences. HungerRush Delivery Services provide access to in-house and third-party drivers to ensure they can deliver great experiences during peak and off-peak hours. With the integration of Uber Direct into HungerRush Delivery Services, restaurants have expanded delivery options and geographic coverage.”

HungerRush has also partnered with Gordon Food Service-backed venture Backofhouse.io.

This collaboration enables restaurants across the US to access HungerRush’s advanced POS and online ordering platforms.
