Iron Hill Brewery & Restaurant is poised to establish a new location next to the Liacouras Center on Temple University’s campus in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, in a move approved by the university’s board of trustees.

This will be a significant addition to the campus and the North Philadelphia area.

With 19 locations across several US states, Iron Hill Brewery & Restaurant’s North Broad Street venue will be its 12th in Pennsylvania and third in Philadelphia. Each location has its own brewhouse, ensuring that all beer served is brewed on-site, and the food is made from scratch.

The area around Broad Street and Cecil B Moore Avenue is experiencing a surge in commercial real estate developments, with Iron Hill Brewery & Restaurant the latest addition. Other recent openings include Bagels & Co and Rally House, with The Peabody, a casual upscale dining restaurant, also set to launch in the winter of 2024/25.

Temple’s senior vice-president and chief operating officer Ken Kaiser stated: “The opening of Iron Hill Brewery & Restaurant will be the latest addition to an area of both campus and North Philadelphia that is already undergoing a transformation.

“We have needed a place where the Temple and North Philadelphia communities as well as visitors and alumni can meet and congregate, and we will soon have two excellent options for that with both Iron Hill and The Peabody set to open on campus.”
