ISS Austria Holding, a subsidiary of catering services company ISS, has purchased business and workplace catering services firm JH Catering.

Based in Graz, Austria, JH Catering offers catering services to medium and large organisations, and snack services through workplace shops and vending machines.

It has around 80 employees and reported revenue of €8.4m in 2018.

The transaction is expected to complement ISS Austria’s business catering brand, ‘taste’njoy’.

ISS Austria country manager Erich Steinreiber said: “We have worked with JH Catering for a very long time. The acquisition adds to the internal investments in organically building our self-delivery catering capabilities in Austria – an offering which is in particular targeted at our strategically important key account customers.

“Hermann will continue to support us with his experience during the integration of JH Catering with the ISS brand.”

“I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone involved, especially the founders Josef and Edith Hermann, for having reached a positive conclusion for both parties after intensive negotiations.

“Hermann will continue to support us with his experience during the integration of JH Catering with the ISS brand. I want to welcome our new colleagues to the ISS family and look forward to our mutual success!”

Earlier this month, ISS Denmark entered a DKK2bn ($303.31m) agreement with the Danish Building and Property Agency to offer services such as catering, internal and external property maintenance, cleaning, and more across its 162 locations.

The contract is expected to be finalised today and will become effective starting 1 October this year.
