Filipino fast food restaurant chain Jollibee has re-launched Ube Pie to its Canadian outlets for a limited period.

Ube Pie is made with authentic ube, a South Asian purple yam which is a dessert staple in the region and has a subtly sweet flavour. The pie has a buttery, flaky crust and can be ordered alone or as an accompaniment to any Jollibee meal.

The re-introduction of Ube Pie is complemented by the permanent addition of the Bacon and Cheese Chicken Sandwich and the Aloha Chicken Sandwich to Jollibee’s menu.

The Bacon and Cheese Chicken Sandwich features the brand’s hand-breaded chicken breast fillet with mayo, topped with crispy bacon and melted cheese and served on a brioche bun.

The Aloha Chicken Sandwich is served with Aloha dressing, a grilled pineapple ring, crispy bacon, and whole-leaf lettuce, delivering sweet and savoury tastes and a variety of textures.

Both the Ube Pie and the new chicken sandwiches are now available at all Jollibee locations throughout Canada.
