Just Eat, a UK-based takeaway delivery company, said that its orders have surged by 43% in the UK, following the addition of approximately 800 restaurants of fast-food chain McDonald’s and approximately 300 stores of bakery chain Greggs.
Between July and September, the company delivered 46 million orders in the country because of the impact of the Covid-19 lockdown.
Due to the pandemic, a large number of diners are avoiding stepping out, because of which takeaway orders have surged.
The company hopes to see further growth in the next few months.
The group also expects to see growth in other markets such as Canada and Germany.
It recorded around 151 million orders across its global operations in Q3, which is a surge of 46%.
