American fast food restaurant chain KFC has added a new chicken sandwich, Crispy Colonel, to its menu.

Available in three flavours, Smoky Mountain BBQ, spicy and smoky Nashville Hot and Georgia Gold honey mustard BBQ, the Crispy Colonel chicken sandwich is a blend of chicken filet, mayo and pickles on a bun.

KFC US CMO Andrea Zahumensky said: “When we tested the Crispy Colonel, 88% of customers who tried the sandwich said it was better than any other chicken sandwich, and 91% said they would order it again.

“I believe no other fast food restaurant comes close to providing the line-up of superior, craveable chicken sandwiches we’re launching at KFC.”

“And now they can, in our classic version or in their favourite KFC signature flavour. I believe no other fast food restaurant comes close to providing the line-up of superior, craveable chicken sandwiches we’re launching at KFC.”

Starting today, the KFC Crispy Colonel is available at participating restaurants across the US in a Fill Up pack along with wedges, a cookie and a drink for $5 and as a combo for $5.99.

Apart from this, the restaurant chain is planning to introduce a fourth flavour for the Crispy Colonel sandwich available for a limited time in summer this year.
