Belgian bakery-café chain Le Pain Quotidien has signed a master franchise agreement with BeGreen to venture into the Paraguayan market.

The company operates 200 stores in 18 markets across the world, as reported by World Coffee Portal.

Founded in Brussels in 1990 by Alain Coumont, Le Pain Quotidien has been expanding in Latin America.

It currently operates 80 outlets across five countries in the region: Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Mexico, and Uruguay. 16 of these were opened in 2024.

This recent expansion included four new outlets in Argentina, where it now has 39, and ten in Mexico, where it has 28.

The brand has also announced plans to launch in Peru by the second quarter of 2025 through a partnership with local franchisee Inversiones FISA.
