UK-based café, bar, and restaurant operator Loungers has expanded its portfolio with the opening of eight new lounges across the UK in the first three months of this year.
The recent expansion includes the launch of Verraco Lounge in Bromsgrove, Pontio Lounge in Chepstow, Panadero Lounge in Macclesfield, Riparo Lounge in Westwood Cross, Pineto Lounge in Bracknell, Vitello Lounge in Ilkley, Sarto Lounge in Sidcup, and Barolo Lounge in Yeovil.
The company said it selected sites ranging from new developments to former banks, retail spaces and restaurants on the high street and in shopping centres.
Each venue has been named to reflect the heritage of its location, with some featuring murals that pay tribute to the local history.
Loungers said that it has invested nearly £1m ($1.24m) into each new site, contributing to the revitalisation of local high streets and creating 30 new jobs.
With these most recent additions, the business now operates a total of 257 sites.

By GlobalDataLoungers chair and co-founder Alex Reilley said: “With a new site opening every 10 days so far this year across a wide variety of locations in the UK, Loungers continues to go from strength to strength with a fantastic pipeline ahead.
“We still firmly believe that there is scope for over 600 Lounges, and are more excited than ever about the future of this business.”
In January, Loungers celebrated a significant milestone with the opening of its 250th location in Rochdale.
This followed the launch of four new venues in November 2023, including Alfredo Lounge in Louth and Bordo Lounge in Carlisle.
The group’s expansion continued from its 200th venue, Verdetto Lounge, which opened in Buckingham last September.
