Mary Brown’s Chicken (MB), part of MBI Brands, has entered a new multi-year partnership with former Major League Baseball (MLB) player José Bautista to relaunch its Batter’s Box meal.
The Batter’s Box meal includes six pieces of Signature Chicken available in Original, Spicy or Honey BBQ flavour, accompanied by two biscuits, medium gravy and medium Taters made from fresh Canadian potatoes.
From 4 June 2024, the meal will be rolled out across all Mary Brown’s Chicken locations in Canada except MB Express and Rogers Centre outlets.
The box will be priced at C$21.99 ($16.14) plus tax and is suitable for sharing among two to three people.
It can be ordered through the MB app and exclusive third-party delivery partner Skip.
MBI Brands chief marketing officer Jeff Barlow said: “As longtime fans of José, we couldn’t be more excited about teaming up with him to promote our famous hand-cut and hand-breaded signature chicken.

Mary Brown’s Chicken is already in a five-year sponsorship as an Official Partner of the Toronto Blue Jays and the Official Chicken Restaurant of the Toronto Blue Jays.
In 2022, Mary Brown’s Chicken and the Toronto Blue Jays announced their first five-year relationship.
The restaurant’s Big Mary was named the official chicken sandwich of the team.
This new partnership with José Bautista reinforces the brand’s association with the sport and its fans.
