McDonald’s Canada has introduced a new offer allowing customers to purchase small-sized McCafé Premium Roast Coffee for C$1 ($0.73).

The new C$1 coffee initiative is part of McDonald’s Canada’s efforts to provide customers with an affordable daily beverage option.

This price excludes delivery charges, the fast-food giant said.

McDonald’s said that the new promotion, available throughout the day, also allows customers to combine the small coffee with other menu items.

For instance, customers can create meal pairings such as a coffee with a bagel or Egg McMuffin for breakfast, or with a Quarter Pounder for lunch.

For those seeking larger sizes, McDonald’s Canada has also priced its medium, large, and extra-large coffees competitively.

A medium coffee will cost C$1.25, a large at C$1.50, and an extra-large at C$1.75, with each size increment adding C$0.25 to the price, plus applicable taxes, the company said.

McDonald’s Canada chief marketing officer Alyssa Buetikofer said: “We strive to be a brand for everyone and understand how important it is to provide affordable options to our guests every day. Our new everyday pricing makes it easy for coffee lovers to start their day with a delicious cup of quality coffee at a great price.”

The move follows a similar strategy by McDonald’s in the US, where a $5 Meal Deal was recently launched as part of the summer promotional offers.

McDonald’s $5 Meal Deal, which includes a selection of a McDouble or McChicken sandwich, small fries, a four-piece Chicken McNuggets, and a small soft drink, began on 25 June 2024.
