McDonald’s Australia has announced its plans to open the world’s first restaurant dedicated to French fries in Sydney, Australia.

The opening is part of the restaurant company’s sponsorship of the FIFA Women’s World Cup Australia & New Zealand 2023.

Located at Tumbalong Park in Darling Harbour, the restaurant will be nearly five metres tall and shaped like McDonald’s fries packet.

McDonald’s (also known as Macca’s in Australia) will serve medium fries and limited-edition ‘Sauces of the World’, inspired by the countries participating in the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023.

The company said that the sauces will include Outback BBQ Sauce and Wasabi-flavoured Mayo Sauce.

McDonald’s Australia brand manager David Morris said: “We are excited to create unforgettable experiences for fans across the country at the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023.

McDonald’s also stated that it will provide comfortable seating that will double as a photo opportunity space.

Furthermore, a range of experiences will be offered outside stadiums across Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth and Adelaide.

These include McDonald’s All Stars, an interactive photo booth that gives collectible cards to fans. These cards are personalised by features such as names, locations or matches.
