McDonald’s has resumed dine-in services at more than 700 restaurants in the UK, further continuing with normalisation of operations, following the Covid-19-related lockdown.
In a Twitter post, the company said that the restaurants will restrict operations to table services.

Customers will be able to place orders at the table, using the My McDonald’s app or through the self-order kiosk or till. The store staff will bring the food to minimise contagion risks with takeaway customers and delivery couriers.
The locations will also deploy sanitisers and manage the number of customers inside the restaurants.
Furthermore, all customers who choose to dine-in will be required to provide personal details to support the government’s contact tracing programmes.
The restaurant tables will have a sticker, displaying a QR code and URL, which will take the customers to the specific website, where they can fill in the details.
The reopening does not include any stores in Wales due to prevailing restrictions on dining in.
McDonald’s also noted that some of its restaurants will participate in the Eat Out to Help Out scheme from the chancellor next month. The scheme is devised to encourage dine-in by offering 50% off on dine-in bills up to a maximum of £10 per head on selected days.
