McDonald’s Australia is set to expand its McCafe offerings with new dessert item, called McPops.

The newest item on the McCafe menu will be permanently accessible at all McDonald’s restaurants in Australia starting from 29 May 2024.

McPops are soft, squishy doughnut balls filled with gooey fillings and dusted with powdered sugar or cocoa.

It is available in three varieties: Choc McPop, Berry McPop, and Biscoff McPop.

Berry McPop is a tiny pink donut with red berry filling and sugar, Biscoff McPop is a tiny donut with Biscoff filling and sugar, and Choc McPop is a mini cocoa donut with chocolate filling and cocoa dusting.

Priced at A$1.50 each or A$2.50 for two, when purchased with any McCafe drink.

Customers can purchase McPops at all McCafes in Australia, whether through drive-thru, the MyMacca’s app, or McDelivery.

The introduction of McPops in Australia follows its successful launch in McCafe Spain in 2018 and its subsequent availability in selected countries worldwide.

McDonald’s Australia marketing manager Lancy Huynh said: “McPops are a fun and affordable snack, brimming with warm sweetness, that we expect our customers are going to love.

“Pairing perfectly with our McCafé barista-made coffee, they’re a delectable bite-sized treat that will make your morning or afternoon pick-me-up that little bit sweeter. We’ve got three flavours, so make sure you pop in and try them all.”

In February this year, McDonald’s launched its Adult Happy Meal in Australia.

The Adult Happy Meal featured a choice of a ten-piece box of Chicken McNuggets or a Big Mac, accompanied by fries, a drink, and a toy.

Additionally, the super-sized box also features collectables.
