McDonald’s UK is planning to remove eight items from its menu in September 2024.

The fast-food chain will discontinue Cheesy Garlic Bread Dippers, the McCrispy BBQ Smokehouse, the Double Big Mac and its bacon variant, two McFlurry desserts — the Milkybar Raspberry Ripple and Munchies Cookie Dough — and two chicken shareboxes.

As part of a menu shake-up, McDonald’s will also be adding new items from 4 September 2024.

Among the upcoming offerings is the Twix Latte, a coffee-based beverage infused with Twix-flavoured syrup, caramel cream and chocolate bar crumbs.

The company is also planning to reintroduce Mozzarella Dippers and the Philly Cheese Stack burger.

Mozzarella Dippers, available in packs of three or nine, are served with a salsa dip.

The Philly Cheese Stack burger debuted in October 2023 and comprises two beef patties, cheese sauce, cheese slices, grilled and crispy onions and pickles, served in a toasted bun.

Other returning items are the Chicken Big Mac and two McFlurry variants — the Galaxy Chocolate McFlurry and the Twix Caramel McFlurry.

In May 2024, McDonald’s UK launched an anime-themed Happy Meal that includes Yu-Gi-Oh! X and Hello Kitty toys.

The new offering is part of McDonald’s strategy to expand its children’s menu options and deliver a novel experience to its customers.

The new Happy Meal will include a set of ten toys featuring Yu-Gi-Oh! X and Hello Kitty and Friends.

The limited-time promotion seeks to draw a diverse audience by appealing to anime fans and collectors.
