Utah restaurateur Michael McHenry stepped down from his presidential role in early June 2018 to open the new venture, The McHenry Group. Further details of the brand will be announced in the coming weeks.

“The McHenry Group is committed to creating disruptive brands that provide unique experiences for the neighbourhoods we serve.”

McHenry said: “My true passions are connecting people and communities through craft food, modern hospitality and job creation.

The restaurant will offer performance consulting, restaurant acquisitions and concept creation. It is currently serving new clients and planning to open new restaurants.

As well as leading the new venture, McHenry will support the Even Stevens Sandwiches brand as a consultant.

McHenry has a decade of experience in brand creation, culture building and restaurant operations. He also created more than 1,500 jobs and opened over 50 restaurants during his career.

The Utah Restaurant Association awarded McHenry the “Golden Spoon” Restaurateur of the Year award this year.
