MEATliquor has opened BLOODsports, a sports bar in Covent Garden, London, at the former site of the Circus restaurant, The Caterer has reported.

The establishment has a capacity of 120 seats and features 30 screens broadcasting live sports from across the globe, with horror movies in between.

Patrons can enjoy all-day karaoke, play pool and pinball, or capture memories in the Psychobooth – a photo booth inspired by Alfred Hitchcock’s shower scene in the 1960 film Psycho.

From 24 February 2025, Hideout Coffee from Portsmouth will offer its coffee and doughnuts at BLOODsports from 8am to 8pm.

The menu features MEATliquor classics such as Monkey Fingers chicken strips and Dead Hippie burger, along with new additions such as a deep-fried bacon-wrapped hotdog.

The drinks selection includes boozy slushies, cocktails and the “Bloods & Drips” range — a collection of tomato-based beverages designed to prevent hangovers.

MEATliquor founder Scott Collins stated: “BLOODsports has been on the cards for over 10 years. It’s just been a case of waiting for the right site.

“It’s inspired by the best of the dive and sports bars I frequented when I lived in the US – a carefully curated dash of horror films and our rock solid MEATliquor food menu with some BS-specific dishes. In short, it’s a one-stop fun shop.”

BLOODsports also caters to groups with larger booths equipped with private screens and a private hire area with booths, a bar and arcade machines.

Collins, alongside Yianni Papoutsis, originally launched MEATliquor as a street food van in London before opening their first restaurant in Marylebone in 2011.
