Australian hospitality reservation platform Now Book It has announced its expansion into the Canadian market.

The platform aims to aid restaurants in Canada to enhance operational efficiency and increase profitability.

Canada is facing a clear demand for reservation solutions that can help customers improve operations and sustainably expand their venues.

With the launch, in partnership with its parent company, Montreal-based Valsoft, Now Book It will offer a suite of tools designed to tackle challenges faced by restaurant owners and staff in Canada.

Now Book It founder and CEO Craig Joel stated: “We couldn’t be more excited to introduce Now Book It to the incredible restaurants of Montreal.

“Montreal is a city known for its world-class dining, and we are proud to support its hospitality industry with our intuitive, commission-free reservation, events and gift card platform. Our mission has always been to put control back in the hands of restaurant owners, and we are eager to see how our technology helps them thrive in this dynamic market.”

The company’s software features an online restaurant reservation system, with functionalities such as bookings management, table layouts, waitlisting and gift card options.

Additionally, it offers integrations for events, marketing and payment processing, allowing for comprehensive venue management within a single system.

Now Book It recently introduced Sadie, an AI phone agent that operates 24 hours a day.

Valsoft executive vice-president of operations Mitch Bourassa said: “Now Book It’s expansion into Canada is a testament to its growing reputation as a global leader in restaurant technology. With its best-in-class AI-driven solutions and reservation platform, Now Book It is not just expanding in a new market — it’s setting a new standard for restaurant operations in Canada.

“As the restaurant industry increasingly turns to technology-driven solutions, we are excited to see Now Book It continue its trajectory of innovation and market leadership as part of the Valsoft portfolio.”

Canada-based Valsoft acquired Now Book It in 2023.
