US quick-service restaurant chain OAKBERRY, known for its açaí bowls and smoothies, is set to make its Hawaiian debut as part of its expansion strategy.

The new location, located at Kapolei Commons in West Oʻahu, will open by the end of 2024.

The company has signed a multi-unit franchise agreement with Açaí Partners Hawaiʻi, trading as OAKBERRY Hawaiʻi.

The OAKBERRY and Açaí Partners Hawaiʻi partnership is set to support a long-term venture to open multiple OAKBERRY locations across Hawaii up to 2029.

Açaí Partners Hawaiʻi, a fully locally owned business, will be led by chief operating officer Bonny Amemiya.

Amemiya previously worked as an executive at Hawaii’s Burger King franchise, Anheuser-Busch, and for the aio family of companies.
