Bakery café chain Paris Baguette has unveiled plans for its first North American bakery manufacturing plant in Burleson, Texas.

The move is set to bolster the brand’s supply chain as it expands across the US and Canada.

The facility will commence construction in the summer of 2025 and is expected to be operational by 2027.

The upcoming 260,000ft² plant represents a $160m investment by Paris Baguette North America and will act as a central supply hub for its expanding café network in North and Central America.

Local and state authorities are providing $14m in support, including contributions from Burleson and Johnson Counties and tax incentives from the state of Texas.

The new manufacturing site will generate 450 jobs, which will position Paris Baguette North America as one of the top five employers in the county.

Paris Baguette CEO Darren Tipton stated: “This expansion marks a significant step forward in our mission to bring the Paris Baguette experience to even more communities.

“With this new facility, we are not only reinforcing our supply chain but also ensuring that we can continue offering the best in class, high-quality baked goods to our growing base of loyal guests. We are incredibly grateful for the support of Burleson, Johnson County and the state of Texas in making this vision a reality.”

Paris Baguette awarded 163 new franchises and inaugurated 51 new cafés in 2024.

With 78 leases already secured for 2025, Paris Baguette is well on its way to achieving more than 100 café openings and extending its presence to 35 US states.

Tipton added: “The momentum we’ve built over the past year is just the beginning.

“As we work toward our goal of 1,000 cafés across North America by 2030, we remain committed to our people-first approach, investing in top-tier leadership, operational excellence and the quality that makes us North America’s neighbourhood bakery café.”

Looking ahead to a groundbreaking 2025, Paris Baguette plans to award an additional 200 franchises and launch 100 cafés.

This expansion will introduce the brand to markets such as Connecticut, Missouri, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Guam and Puerto Rico.

Paris Baguette aims to exceed 300 cafés in North America by the end of 2025.

The chain has introduced a special menu for Valentine’s Day 2025, featuring handcrafted cakes and chocolate-covered strawberry desserts.
