Parisian-style brasserie Pastis is set to expand its footprint in the US with the planned opening of a new restaurant in West Palm Beach, Florida.

Bloomberg has reported that the new location will be a significant addition to the Nora District’s new development.

The establishment, known for its New York City presence, will introduce its French culinary experience to the South Florida region as part of a broader plan encompassing retail space, a hotel and offices.

Pastis’ newest location will span 13,300ft² on the ground floor of the Nora Hotel, a 201-room property currently under development.

The partnership involves Sean MacPherson and BD Hotels, the companies known for their work on New York’s Hotel Chelsea and the Mercer.

The latest move is part of a larger initiative to enhance West Palm Beach’s appeal, with influential figures such as billionaire Stephen Ross investing in the area.

Restaurateur Stephen Starr said: “Since opening Pastis in Miami last year, the positive response to the restaurant has been astounding.

“Residents of Palm Beach, West Palm Beach and the surrounding areas have asked me countless times to bring Pastis to their neighbourhood.”

Nora District’s first phase is projected for completion by early 2025, with Pastis set to open its doors in 2026.

The district will also host other notable tenants such as H&H Bagels, Del Mar Mediterranean Restaurant and Van Leeuwen Ice Cream.

Place Projects, NDT Development and Wheelock Street Capital are collaborating on the project.

With the West Palm Beach restaurant’s launch, Pastis will have four locations, including a recent opening in Washington earlier in 2024.

The brasserie is known for its traditional French cuisine with contemporary flair, offering an extensive menu that includes breakfast, dinner, lunch, brunch, desserts and beverages.
