PAX Technology has introduced Elys Display, a new kitchen display system (KDS) designed to improve efficiency in high-speed kitchen environments.
The Android smart display system aims to replace outdated paper systems and integrate seamlessly with the Elys point-of-sale (POS) to unify back-of-house and front-of-house operations.
Available in two models, the 16-inch K2160 and the 22-inch K2220, Elys Display is engineered to boost productivity in a range of kitchen tasks, including meal pacing.
PAX’s KDS solution is claimed to be compatible with thousands of point-of-sale (POS) software providers.
Elys Display can also function as a customer-facing kiosk when connected to payment devices such as the A35.
Its large touchscreens provide clear visibility and ease of use, and the devices are durable with IP55 waterproof ratings to withstand kitchen conditions.
The Elys Display features a gyroscope sensor for flexible positioning in landscape or portrait modes and can be placed on a tabletop or can be wall-mounted.
It supports built-in power and power over ethernet (PoE), reducing the need for additional power outlets.
PAX Technology is also launching the PB20 Bump Bar, a configurable keyboard with magnetic keys that can be used with Elys Display and other Elys products.
The Bump Bar has durable aluminium housing, a sealed cover for dust and waterproofing, and a quicknav scroll wheel with magnetic angle sensor detection technology.
It offers a customisable keypad overlay and a range of connection methods to meet specific customer needs.
The Bump Bar has a lifespan of 50 million clicks and an IP65 rating.
PAX technology president and CEO Andy Chau said: “We are very proud of our award-wining Elys solution, and releasing these new additions to join the ever-expanding family of products makes our offerings much more robust.
“This KDS solution will streamline kitchen processes and maximise restaurant efficiency. It seamlessly connects with our LinkUp application for unified synchronisation between devices.”
