Mediterranean fast-food brand Pita Pit USA is expanding its Alaskan footprint with two new locations in Wasilla and Palmer to meet the growing demand for fresh, customisable dining options.

The expansion is led by franchisee Kaleb Crawford, who has experience in managing healthcare foodservice operations in Alaska.

Crawford said: “Pita Pit has been a go-to option for fresh and flavourful dining in Alaska, and I’m thrilled to bring the brand even closer to the Wasilla and Palmer communities.

“These are rapidly growing areas, and we’re excited to introduce even more Alaskans to the customisable, health-forward options that make Pita Pit unique.”

Pita Pit’s updated menu includes the Greek Grilled Cheese – a Mediterranean take on the classic American sandwich.

The new offering comes in Chicken Club, Athens Steak, Athens Chicken, Cowboy Steak and Say Cheese flavours.

In addition to their signature pitas and Greek Grilled Cheese, the brand offers bowls, build-your-own options and sides such as Falafel Bites, and options for vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free diets.

Pita Pit USA president and CEO Peter Riggs said: “We’re proud to expand our footprint in Alaska and further cement our place as a leader in the fast-casual dining space.

“Kaleb’s extensive experience in foodservice and deep connection to the Alaskan market make him the ideal partner to help us bring the Pita Pit experience to even more communities in the state.”

The brand is seeking both single-unit and multi-unit franchisees.

With a smaller footprint of between 800ft² and 1000ft², the new drive-through model accommodates increased delivery and pick-up orders while reducing financial commitments for franchisees.

The brand has 68 locations across the US and is headquartered in Coeur d’Alene.

In October 2024, Pita Pit USA partnered with Killer Brownie to add gourmet brownies to its menu.
