Pizza Hut, known for its wide variety of pizzas, has diversified its menu to include a new item, the Cheeseburger Melt – its first entry into the burger business in the US.
The Cheeseburger Melt features Pizza Hut’s signature Thin N’ Crispy crust filled with toppings and cheese, folded over, baked until melted and served with a dipping sauce.
The new range of Pizza Hut Melts is available in four other flavours: Pepperoni Lovers and Meat Lovers – both with a marinara dipping sauce – Buffalo Chicken, which comes with buffalo dipping and ranch dipping sauce, and Chicken Bacon Parmesan, offered with ranch dipping sauce.
The new offerings are also available as part of the My Hut Box offer: a choice of Melts or a Personal Pan Pizza with two toppings, a side of either four boneless wings or fries, a 20oz beverage and a dipping sauce.
My Hut Box offer is available for customers at a starting price of $6.99 in participating locations in the US.
Pizza Hut chief food innovation officer Rachel Antalek said: “For the first time ever, we packed everything you know and love about a cheeseburger into our craveable Thin N’ Crispy crust to develop the new Cheeseburger Melt.

By GlobalData“Unlike a traditional cheeseburger, the Cheeseburger Melt dips perfectly into what we would argue is the world’s best burger dipping sauce. We challenge you to find a better burger and sauce experience.”
To promote the new product, Pizza Hut’s delivery drivers will visit drive-through locations of some of the fast-food burger chains, displaying a QR code that offers a chance to interested customers to win a free Cheeseburger Melt and Pepsi.
The promotional campaign is targeted at markets in Chicago, Illinois and in Miami, Florida, where some of the largest fast-food burger chains are based.
