Mobile and online technology provider Preoday has launched box catering and digital service for audiences at the Royal Albert Hall in London.

Powered by the delivery firm’s technology, the Royal Albert Hall app allows guests to pre-order food and drink while attending events at the concert hall.

Guests can download the Royal Albert Hall app on the App Store or through Google Play to place orders.

According to the company, the service replaces an existing system enabling box ticket holders to order food and drink to their box before 48 hours of an event. Caterer rhubarb has been providing all food and drink at the London venue since 2011.

“We’re always striving to create brilliant experiences for visitors, and embracing the latest technology within our historic venue helps us to do that.”

They can also place orders through the Royal Albert Hall website as well as the MyOrder London web portal and app.

Albert Hall catering and hospitality head Davina Sasha said: “We’re always striving to create brilliant experiences for visitors, and embracing the latest technology within our historic venue helps us to do that.

“From this month, whether you have a box seat to see The Nutcracker, Cirque du Soleil or one of our acclaimed Films in Concert, digital ordering will provide another level of customer service, allowing you to indulge in food and drink while savouring the moment in your box overlooking our iconic auditorium.”

Menu choices available through the app include sharing boards, sandwiches, champagne, and soft drinks.

In addition, guests can place in-performance orders through catering firm Rhubarb’s hostessing team using through Preoday’s system.
