Presto Phoenix, a provider of AI-driven solutions for the quick-service restaurant (QSR) industry, has launched a new phone ordering business unit.
The development was revealed at the restaurant leadership conference (RLC) in Phoenix, in the US state of Arizona, where Presto’s executive team was present to discuss its unified Voice AI vision with customers.
Presto CEO Gee Lefevre stated: “Adding AI-native phone ordering is exciting as it will allow us to offer a broader spectrum of Voice AI solutions to our customers. Given our deep enterprise restaurant experience, our customers are asking us to be their one-stop shop for Voice AI. Phone ordering, while much simpler than drive-through Voice AI, adds tangible value to them.”
Presto remains focused on delivering the best enterprise-grade drive-through Voice AI product.
Presto co-founder and chairman Krishna K Gupta added: “Presto has always had a vision of being the AI partner of choice, for connected, end-to-end automation in the restaurant industry – and it requires industry focus.
“In addition to our core drive-through Voice AI product, we have, at various points, worked on or evaluated computer vision, kiosks, phone ordering and robots – all purely in the restaurant vertical. No other company has this depth of knowledge and experience.”
Presto’s Voice AI products increase revenue, lower labour costs, enhance staff productivity, and standardise and improve guest experience.
In March 2025, Presto Phoenix expanded its collaboration with Galardi Group, the parent company of the hot dog chain Wienerschnitzel.
The partnership aims to implement voice AI ordering tech across Wienerschnitzel’s drive-through locations, with a target of incorporation in 350 corporate and franchise drive-through locations nationwide by 2025.
