US-based sandwich restaurant chain Primanti Bros Restaurant and Bar has expanded its footprint by opening its first in-airport location at the Pittsburgh International Airport in the US.
The new restaurant is the 42nd location for the restaurant chain and marks its entry serve new menu items to a new segment of consumers.
Primanti Bros Restaurant and Bar president and CEO David Head said: “We’ve been able to grow quickly because we know who we are. Our fans crave authenticity, and after 86 years, we’ve been lucky to earn their trust – and we’re fortunate that endorsement has translated into new markets.”
Spread across 2,700ft2 space, the airport location offers sandwiches made using Italian bread, grilled meat, cheese, French fries, coleslaw and tomato.
Additionally, the location also features a full menu of American classics, the company’s stainless steel bar and breakfast choices.
Head added: “We’ve experienced exceptional growth since 2013. We’re proud to have expanded our footprint across five states and hundreds of miles – but we’re honoured to be coming home to the Pittsburgh Airport.”
