US-based fast-casual restaurant chain Protein Bar & Kitchen plans to open a location at Boise Airport in Idaho in 2025.

The new venue will be part of a comprehensive overhaul of the airport’s dining and retail outlets.

The Boise Airport venue will be operated by Delaware North Companies.

The venue will build on the brand’s existing airport locations at Salt Lake City International, Chicago O’Hare and New York LaGuardia Airport’s Terminal C.

At Salt Lake City International Airport, the Protein Bar & Kitchen is a fixture in Concourse A, managed by OHM.

The Chicago O’Hare outlet, situated in Terminal 5, is a company-owned establishment, inaugurated in collaboration with ACDBE-certified BT Express and DCGG.

The LaGuardia Airport location, found in Terminal C, is notable for being the first to offer an espresso and espresso beverage menu.

It also introduced the brand’s latest smoothie, the Gr8 Greens, and is operated by Shree, an ACDBE-certified enterprise.

Protein Bar & Kitchen’s menu includes more than 15 protein options.

The company has embraced strategic franchising with a refined store prototype that optimises space and enhances customer experience through dine-in, carry-out, delivery, mobile app, online ordering and catering services.

Looking ahead, Protein Bar & Kitchen is eager to collaborate with individuals interested in single and multi-unit franchising opportunities, to extend its footprint and offer nutritious dining options to travellers nationwide.

Protein Bar & Kitchen CEO Jeff Drake said: “As consumer demand continues to rise for protein-packed, healthy meal options, people are taking note of what Protein Bar & Kitchen has to offer.

“The all-day power of protein is just as important when travelling, and we are thrilled to showcase our menu to the millions of people who travel daily.”

In October 2024, Protein Bar & Kitchen unveiled its plan to open 100 new locations in the US over the next five years as part of its expansion strategy.
