Rozelle’s, a new casual dining restaurant, has opened its doors at Carrick Hill, a 100-acre estate in the Adelaide foothills in South Australia.

The restaurant is operated by the Favaro Group, a hospitality group that also runs Chianti and Bar Torino in Adelaide.

The restaurant, situated within Carrick Hill’s gardens and extensive grounds, offers a range of wood-fired oven dishes and pizzas.

Other Italian-inspired menu items include burrata, focaccia, anchovy toast, fries and insalata.

A South Australia government media release stated that the opening marks a significant development for the local hospitality sector, bringing more jobs and enhancing the local dining scene.

The state government contributed A$1m ($659,700) for the construction of Rozelle’s and a new pavilion in Carrick Hill.

State member for Enfield, South Australia, Andrea Michaels said: “The Favaro family has already brought South Australia two of its favourite venues with Chianti and Bar Torino in the city, and now they have given us a fabulous new offering in the Adelaide foothills.

“The Malinauskas (South Australia) government invested A$1m to support the construction of the new pavilion where Rozelle’s is located and the combination of stunning scenery, remarkable artworks and delicious Italian food is sure to make for an unforgettable cultural experience.”

The South Australian government’s collaboration with the Favaro Group has helped in establishing this A$7.2m restaurant and function centre. The move is part of ongoing efforts to bolster South Australia’s hospitality industry and job creation post-pandemic.

The project also received A$3m support from the federal government under the Adelaide City Deal and A$3.265m through the Carrick Hill Development Foundation.

Rozelle’s will welcome guests from Wednesdays to Sundays, including most public holidays, between 10am and 4:30pm.

It will be available for private events outside of Carrick Hill’s regular operating hours.

Favaro Group Venues general manager Jessica Favaro-Richards said: “Visitors can enjoy a menu driven by our family’s love of food and sharing. The menu is everything we love about relaxed Italian food and dining.”
