US-based doughnut and kolache brand Shipley Do-Nuts has signed a 30-unit development agreement to extend its national footprint.
The expansion will be executed in partnership with Shipley franchisee Vik Agrawal.
Agrawal, who currently operates a Shipley Do-Nuts location in Laredo, Texas, will bring the brand to ten New Mexico locations: Bernalillo, De Baca, Guadalupe, Lincoln, Sandoval, San Miguel, Santa Fe, Socorro, Torrance and Valencia.
20 new shops are also planned for the Miami-Dade area.
The first shop in each of the new markets will open by March 2026.
Agrawal has almost two decades of franchising experience and has committed to further growth for the Shipley Do-Nuts brand, with plans to open five more locations in the Rio Grande Valley area.
Agrawal added: “My first Shipley Do-Nuts location in Laredo has proved the business model and I’m committed to quickly growing the brand in New Mexico and South Florida.
“Shipley is a strong brand that is gaining momentum as it enters new markets and people discover the greatness of the product — it’s simply the world’s greatest doughnut.”
Founded in 1936 in Houston, Shipley Do-Nuts has become known for its wide variety of fresh doughnuts, handmade daily.
The brand’s offerings include more than 60 varieties, including the signature plain glazed doughnut cut into the iconic Shipley hexagon shape, filled, iced and cake donuts, bear claws and kolaches, along with coffee.
Shipley Do-Nuts franchising vice-president Jonathan Massey stated: “Vik is an ideal Shipley franchisee, bringing multi-unit, multi-brand experience, a growth mentality and operational infrastructure to open and operate units across several markets.
“We are looking forward to working with his team to make life delicious for future fans in New Mexico and South Florida.”
The brand is present in 370 locations across 13 US states and entered North Carolina in February 2025.
