Slug & Lettuce, part of the Stonegate Group, is to re-open its Albert Square location in Manchester, UK on 12 July 2024.
Following a transformative £650,000 ($838,900) refurbishment, the site joins others in Deansgate, Birmingham and Solihull in featuring the brand’s latest concept, aimed at creating the ultimate social destination.
The Slug & Lettuce has long been a favoured venue for social gatherings, and the renovated Albert Square bar continues this tradition with a design that facilitates a transition from daytime to evening festivities.
Its interior has a vibrant colour palette, including the brand’s signature flamingo pink and jungle green.
A custom mural at the back bar in shades of pink, teal, blue and green complements bronze mirrors and colour-changing LED lights.
A new addition to the venue is a photobooth, installed to encourage guests to capture and share memorable experiences.

Slug & Lettuce, which offers two-for-the-price-of-one cocktails, is introducing its bottomless brunch service to last until 9 pm.
Patrons can also look forward to a fresh summer menu that includes afternoon tea and a midweek dinner and date selection, reflecting the brand’s commitment to evolving its customer experience.
The Albert Square location will be managed by Simon Pugsley, who previously led the Deansgate venue in the city which underwent an earlier makeover.
Pugsley said: “The investment into Deansgate completely transformed the venue and the Albert Square venue is set to be just as incredible.
“The Albert Square team and I are looking forward to welcoming our guests back to the new-look venue and we can’t wait to start a new chapter for the site.”
The refurbishment of Slug & Lettuce Albert Square represents the fourth significant investment by the Stonegate Group, bringing its total expenditure to more than £2.6m, with further enhancements planned for multiple locations across the UK.
In July 2024 the group reopened the Queen’s Head in Gosport following a £242,000 ($303,504) investment.
