Smoothie King has launched the new GLP-1 support menu, designed to cater to the dietary needs of customers on GLP-1 agonist medications [a class of medications that help manage blood sugar levels in Type 2 diabetes] for weight loss or management.
The initiative marks the brand as the first national quick-service restaurant to offer such a specialised menu, aligning with its commitment to promote healthy and active lifestyles.
The menu, available across all US Smoothie King locations, online and via its mobile app, offers high-protein, high-fibre and zero-added-sugar smoothies.
These nutritional choices are beneficial for maintaining balanced energy levels and supporting health goals, as endorsed by registered dietitians.
Smoothie King collaborated with Molly Kimball, a registered dietitian at Ochsner Health, to develop the menu.
Kimball leads the Ochsner Eat Fit programme that identifies nutritious options at restaurants and markets.

By GlobalDataThe GLP-1 support menu features five smoothies to integrate into a health-conscious lifestyle: the Gladiator GLP-1 with up to 61g of protein; the Slim N Trim GLP-1 Mango Greens; the Keto Champ GLP-1 in Berry or Chocolate variants; the Activator Recovery GLP-1 Almond Berry, and the Power Meal Slim GLP-1, available in chocolate, vanilla or strawberry.
The smoothies focus on nutrient density to aid hydration and mitigate common side effects of GLP-1 medications.
Each smoothie has an impressive nutritional profile with high protein and fibre content while keeping calories in check.
Smoothie King CEO Wan Kim said: “For over 50 years, Smoothie King has blended delicious, nutritious smoothies, and we are thrilled to launch this menu as part of our continued commitment to supporting our guests on their personal health and wellness journeys.
“We know that every individual’s path is different, and with the rising use of GLP-1 medications across the country and our customer base, we want to ensure that Smoothie King provides the nutritional resources to match. Our smoothies are more than just a delicious treat — they’re a power-packed meal on the go to help our guests stay on track with their goals.”
In October 2024, Smoothie King announced record growth with 38 new store commitments and 28 new store openings across 16 US states in the third quarter of the year.
